Lots of long items? You need full-height hanging. Mostly jumpers and jeans? Drawers and shelves earn their keep. Sloped ceilings
We build around them. The shorter end becomes shelves; the full-height side keeps the hanging space.

The alcoves either side become the storage. The breast itself gets a run of shallow drawers or a TV space.
