FRANCHISE FINANCIALS

The numbers, in plain English

No aspirational lifestyle photography. Just the fees, the margins and what a realistic year looks like, including the bits that cost you money that brochures leave out.

What you pay us

£19,500 + VAT

One-off licence fee. Buys the territory, the brand, the kit, the training and the CRM. Five-year term, renewable.

7% + 2%

Management Service Fee (7%) + Operations Fee (2%) of gross revenue. That's the ongoing relationship: we make money when you make money.

£0

No royalty on your first jobs. A launch buffer while you're finding your feet; ask us about the detail.

Where the money goes on a typical job

Take a representative makeover: a 12-unit kitchen at £4,500. Here's roughly how the project value splits:

Materials (doors, fronts, worktop): roughly 40–45% of project value

Fitting team (sub-contracted): roughly 15–20%

Your marketing and overheads: roughly 5%

Fees to us (7% + 2%): 9% of project value

Your gross margin: typically 25–30% before your own costs

Multiply that by jobs per month and you can see the shape of the business. At four jobs a month you're generating solid five-figure monthly revenue with a five-figure monthly margin. At eight jobs a month you're an established territory business. The ceiling is how much you can sell and manage, not how much you can fit.

The honest start-up costs

Working capital

Six months of living costs, ring-fenced. Not a franchise cost but a reality cost. Sales take 3–6 months to build from launch.

Vehicle and kit insurance

A presentable car and public liability cover for your fitting teams. Budget accordingly.

Local marketing

The 60,000 launch leaflets are included. Ongoing local ads, social and sponsorship are yours to spend on.

Accountancy and admin

A good accountant, bookkeeping software, Companies House filings. The boring backbone of any real business.

How people fund it

Three routes, often combined: government-backed Start Up Loans (up to £25,000 unsecured, personal); high-street banks with franchise desks who know this sector; and asset/working-capital finance for the vehicle and kit. We can introduce you to lenders who already understand the model; ask during your enquiry call.

What the industry says about earnings

Our figures are illustrative and depend on you. But the wider industry benchmarks are public: the leading kitchen makeover franchise network reports franchisees on six-figure turnover by year two, and its top owners exceed £1m a year. We're building to that standard, with more honest marketing and no fake reviews, which is why we're also cheaper to buy into.

You'll get full financial projections, territory analysis and an expense schedule during the recruitment process, before you sign anything. You'll also get our honest view of the risks: sales cycle length, fitter availability, and the discipline required to run lean in year one.
